Susie's Vineyard
The original root stock of what would become Susie's Vineyard was planted in 1943. The next year, 1944, scion wood from Portugal (via U.C. Davis) was grafted onto the established root stock. This famous 37 acre parcel is home to four Portuguese varietals- Touriga Nacional, Tinta Madeira, Tinta Cão, and Souzão. It has been the life's work of four generations to preserve the heritage of these vines, so that they may continue to produce Port grapes of the highest quality.
